North Texas Renewable Energy Engineering
Who
We Are
North Texas Renewable Energy Engineering ("NTREE") is an employee-owned, fully independent solar and renewable energy consulting, design, and engineering firm.
We
realize you have many choices within the solar energy industry
among solar energy sales firms, design engineers, installation
contractors, and others. We believe we can qualify ourselves to
you in one sentence:
We've been involved in solar energy since 1972.
What We Do
We consult, advise, design solar energy systems, teach, diagnose
problems, and much more. (See our "About
Us" page for details.) We routinely go
"above and beyond", performing extra steps on your behalf to
help ensure the success of your project.
We
know solar energy well enough to translate any aspect of it into
plain English, understandable by all. Have questions? We'll be
glad to provide answers in a manner YOU can understand -
guaranteed.
We
don't sell or install solar equipment, nor do we represent any
brands or types of products. This allows us to
recommend hardware that most appropriately fulfills your
requirements. If you aren't certain of those requirements, we
can help there too! To assist in that aspect, we developed a
VERY comprehensive energy analysis report based on actual
consumption data routinely available from utility companies.
You can download a sample Report from our "Our
Services" page in the "Consultation" section.
Our Clients
Our clients range from firms with just a few employees, to
medium and larger "solar" contractors, to "Fortune 50" firms,
Texas cities, the State of Texas, as well as the United States
and foreign governments. If the project involves solar energy
in any manner, we can be of benefit to you!
For
Solar Sales Firms and Solar Installation Contractors:
If your company is involved in the sales and/or installation of
residential systems, commercial systems, utility-scale systems,
or all of the preceding .. we can make tasks easier and faster
for you! In the case of residential and many commercial
projects, we'll send a simple PDF for you to fill out and return
to us. Larger projects will require more information. From
information you provide to us, we'll design the system for you,
including a Texas Professional Engineer's seal on the documents
as required. Electrical permit application packets we'll send
to you include: Line diagrams, wiring calculations, site
diagrams, product cut sheets, utility-grid intertie documents
(as available and/or required by the utility company), and
others. Permit packets vary in size depending on the system
location and utility company, and typically contain from 12 to
22 files.
For
Schools, Cities, and Government:
We design systems and provide documents suitable for a
"bid and build as designed" process. We will also provide
assistance to you with vendor and/or contractor selection and
vetting.
Whether
you're a residential solar sales and installation firm that
requires help from a Texas-based customer-friendly solar design
firm .. to a medium-sized company that can't yet afford a
full-time Professional Engineer on staff .. to a large "EPC"
(Engineering, Procurement & Construction) firm that can
benefit from exceptional and very knowledgeable engineering
assistance for a multi-million dollar solar farm .. we're
ready to assist!
Immediate
Benefits to You:
1.
We're "Texas" local. (Advantages to you and your customers are
obvious.)
2.
Typical turn-time for standard residential PV designs is 2-4
days. Expedited service can be as fast 24 hours. (Unusual or
non-typical systems may take longer.)
3. Commercial
and utility-scale designs are available in size from kilowatts
to megawatts. Complete electrical document packets are provided
to you for Permitting Inspector review and approval.
4. We're
known statewide among municipal Code and Fire Officials,
Inspectors, utilities, and others. If you encounter problems
with any aspect of permitting or inspection, we'll communicate
with them to help resolve the issue(s), typically at no charge
to you.
5.
Sales Assistance. Do you have a commercial project that may
benefit by having a Professional Engineer accompany you to your
customer’s site? We may be available to assist. (You can’t get
THAT kind of help from an out-of-state firm!)
